Karen G. Krueger first took lessons in the Alexander Technique to help her deal with severe, chronic headaches and neck pain that were making it impossible for her to continue her career as a partner at a major New York law firm. The benefits far exceeded her original hopes, and she decided to become a teacher of the Alexander Technique. She completed a 1600-hour training program at the American Center for the Alexander Technique (ACAT), receiving her teacher certification in December 2010. She engaged in post-graduate study to continue developing her skills, in accordance with the continuing education requirements of the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT). And she enjoys using the principles of the Alexander Technique while she engages in her favorite activities, including choral singing, playing the piano, crafts, hiking and swimming.
