The book is very well written and captures the attention of the reader. I particularly liked the fact that I was able to empathise with her and how she felt even though I didn't go through her same experiences. Some bits made me remember my own childhood experiences the games she would entertain herself with. The poem at the end that her mother dedicated to her was enlightening and her mother's letter really validated her feelings. I finished the book in just one night, highly recommend it, a book that gives hope!This story held me captivated from start to finish. I read it all in one go! I admire the author for her strength in achieving all she has done
