Julie Marshall-Tideman is a mother of two who got into scrapbooking out of a desire to preserve the special moments in her children's upbringing. She was disappointed with traditional 'baby books' and when her sister returned from America and told her about scrapbooking and how you could 'preserve things' and make memory books that last, she was hooked. At that time there were no scrapbooking shops in New Zealand and her sister would send supplies from Australia. As the hobby became popular in New Zealand supplies became easier to obtain and Julie was able to get more out of scrapbooking. She has grown with the hobby in New Zealand and is well qualified to write this New Zealand guide to scrapbooking.
