About the Author

Candida Peterson, PhD, F.A.S.S.A, an internationally renowned professor and researcher in the field of human development, has revised this seminal and widely used textbook with a heightened emphasis on Indigenous Australian and New Zealand material, cultural psychology, neurocognition and real-life examples of development over the lifespan. Building on the success of the fifth edition, the author continues to highlight local and Indigenous cultures and to incorporate the latest Australian and international research findings. Candida presents a comprehensive, thought-provoking account of lifespan development psychology, a curriculum she pioneered with the first edition of this book in 1984 for social, behavioural and health sciences teaching in Australasia.
