"This was delightful to read. The author combined a magical tale with the most fascinating history lesson to capitivate any reader of any age. Great care to the historical material provided after the story was evidenrt. 'Fact from Fiction' was spot on and I'm sure your readers will appreicate learning how the 'facts influenced' the story. Adding 'Evaporating Peaches, ' 'Muscrat Stew, ' and 'Pirates in Lewes' to the end of the book was creativitiy at its best. The illustrations are absolutely wonderful and add additional life to the tale. Kudos for adding the 'Learn More" section. Well thought out and niucely done. It was a wonderful tool to keep the magic going. Brava." 2019 National Winner: First Place for Children's Fiction given by National Federation of Press Women
