About the Author

John E. Smith Jr. has lived in Mexico City since 1957. In his sixty years in Mexico, he has become a respected and influential business professional. He also has a large, loving family of fifty-nine members.

Smith went to a number of prestigious prep schools, including Country Day School in Providencem R.I., before graduating from high school. He received his degree at the Georgetown School of Foreign Service before moving to Mexico.
