Reviews

"If you want to know what the cornerstones of contemporary supply chain management (SCM) are, this book is for you! The 10 chapters highlight hot topics and key questions of SCM, sometimes in an impertinent and non-conventional way. The diversity of the contributions in terms of scientific references and research methodologies is in line with SCM complexity that calls for multi-disciplinary researches. If contributions come from researchers, and thus comply with scientific requirements, outputs are valuable both for researchers and managers that will find a lot of stimulating ideas and avenues worth exploring."Professor Nathalie Fabbe-Costes, Universites en Sciences de Gestion,Universite de la Mediterranee - Aix-Marseille II, France""Managing Supply Chains" presents a series of thought-provoking chapters on some of the key themes affecting current supply chain management. The range of the discussion and the depth of the individual contributions is excellent. The multi-disciplinary nature of the contributions is an essential aspect of the book and means that all those interested in research in logistics and supply chain management can benefit from the work presented here."Professor Michael Browne, University of Westminster, United Kingdom"This book introduces a series of high quality papers covering a wide range of themes and methods in supply chain management. The well-organised individual contributions embrace not only many current topics, but also highlight the connection between supply chain strategy and supply chain execution. These two essential characteristics make this book an excellent resource for those who are seeking further development in the field of supply chain management."Professor H.-Chr. Pfohl, Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany
