Marimekko is a Helsinki-based textile and clothing design company internationally celebrated for its original prints. Since their founding in 1951, Marimekko has helped people express their unique personalities through pattern and color, with their high-quality fabrics, apparel, accessories, and housewares. Their designs grew to international fame in the 1960s, when they began a longterm collaboration with US retailer Design/Research, and became widely beloved in the United States when Jackie Kennedy wore a rotating wardrobe of Marimekko dresses throughout the 1960 presidential campaign. Marimekko has over one hundred stores in forty countries worldwide (primarily in North America, Northern Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region).
