Sarah MacDougall (Eva Frankfurther Research and Curatorial Fellow for the Study of Emigre Artists/Head of Collections) has been joint senior curator at Ben Uri since 2002. Most recently, she has co-curated, co-edited and contributed to the exhibition and book, Uproar! The First 50 Years of the London Group, 1913-63 (2013; with Rachel Dickson). She is also working on an exhibition exploring the work of five 1950s figurative painters, in particular Eva Frankfurther (forthcoming, 2014). Dr Percy North is widely recognised as the leading authority on Max Weber. She wrote her doctoral dissertation at the University of Delaware on the artist's early paintings and has since organised several retrospectives of his work. Her previous publications include Max Weber: The Cubist Decade, 1910-20 (1992), Max Weber (2000) and Max Weber: Bringing Paris to New York (2013). Anna Gruetzner Robins is Professor of History of Art at the University of Reading. Her areas of research include the work of Degas, Gwen John, Sickert and Whistler, internationalism, reception theory and the formation of taste. She has curated a number of exhibitions and edited and contributed to the related catalogues including Modern Art in Britain, 1910-14 (1997) and Degas, Sickert and Toulouse-Lautrec (2005). Her other publications include Walter Sickert: The Complete Writings on Art (2000) and A Fragile Modernism: Whistler and his Impressionist Followers (2007). Dr Nancy Ireson is the Rothman Family Associate Curator in the Department of Prints and Drawings at the Art Institute of Chicago. She included a chapter on Weber in her Ph.D. thesis, completed at the Courtauld Institute of Art, London. She has curated numerous exhibitions, include Cezanne's Card Players and Beyond the Moulin Rouge: Toulouse-Lautrec and Jane Avril at the Courtauld Gallery. Her recent research focuses on the drawings of Georges Seurat and on Degas's representations of the circus. Pamela Roberts is a freelance researcher, writer and curator, From 1982-2001, she was the Curator of the Royal Photographic Society, Bath, which has a large collection of Coburn material donated by the photographer in 1930, and has made a special study of Weber and Coburn. In 2003, she was a Guest Scholar at the J Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles. She has published extensively on Coburn, including essays to accompany a limited-edition portfolio of the artist's prints held at George Eastman House in New York state. Lionel Kelly is the former director of the American Studies Centre at the University of Reading.
