I'm Stephen Oberauer, the 32 year old author of The Mischievous Nerd's Guide to World Domination. I've read that the number one reason for buying a fiction book is because of the author. It makes sense... John Grisham, Stephen King, Stephenie Meyer. Unfortunately, this does not suit me very well, because no-one knows me, and The Mischievous Nerd's Guide to World Domination is the only book that I've ever written. Here's a little bit of information about me, so that you can get to know me, and maybe that will be enough to get you interested in reading my book. Professionally, I'm a computer programmer. My hobbies include making 3D videos, writing, playing guitar and skateboarding. If you've read my book, you'll notice that the main character is very similar to me. At work I have to try and be serious and focus on things which I consider to be very dull. It's in my nature to be mischievous, to be more interested in discovering secrets that I'm not supposed to know, than to concentrate on the mundane tasks that the world, as it exists today, requires. The Nerd's Guide is not just a book to me. I wrote it because I felt that it needed to be written. It's not as if I was sitting around trying to think of what a good story could be. The story covers the most important topics in my head, things I have been thinking about for more than 10 years and needed to be shared. The real world is incredibly boring, but it's not our fault. It's the fault of the system that controls our lives. We should all spend our lives having fun. It's not impossible; it just requires a new system.
