Couldn't put this down and cannot wait for the next in the series! Have always loved Jay's writing style and it works well with his new character
Meet Henry Fleming... an english gentleman private detective who you could imagine chatting about successful cases over afternoon tea with Hercule Poirot, they are of a similar type, although Henry takes pride in his appearance with his Savile Row suits and shinning shoes, he isn't pedantic. This novel draws you in like you are one of the characters moving and observing how the drama plays out. 10/10
Really enjoyed this book Henry Flemming is a likeable character, have pre ordered the next book in the series didn't guess who did it either.
It was an enjoyable book. It was so interesting I could hardly put it down. I read it in a very few days!
A great murder mystery from one of my favourite writers. Fast paced story with great character build up and unexpected ending.
I could not put down this book..... yes, it's really that good! I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the descriptions of village life that I would LOVE to experience! Henry Fleming reminded me a bit of Hercule Poirot and his mannerisms (although not anywhere near as neurotic as Hercule!) I highly recommend this book and I will buy book #2 in this series. Enjoy!
It was a soft story by that i mean it was fun to read and easy on the brain, no overly difficult words or difficult situations.
