About the Author

RUTH MUSGRAVE (ANIMAL ADVENTURE) is an award-winning children's writer, specializing in marine and animal science. Musgrave has also been fortunate enough to share her love of animals, the ocean, and ocean exploration through her freelance work and as a frequent contributor to National Geographic Kids magazine. She has written two books for National Geographic, Everything Sharks and Just Joking 3. KAY BOATNER (OCEAN ADVENTURE) is a Washington, D.C.-based writer and editor for National Geographic Kids and Little Kids magazines, where she regularly writes the Funny Fill-in department and manages the digital edition of the Kids magazine. As an Army brat, she's lived on military bases from Colorado to Oklahoma to Germany. Kay also regularly writes about the D.C. food scene. She enjoys reading, going to movies, and running. This is her first book for National Geographic. KELLEY MILLER (EARTH ADVENTURE) is a photographer, writer, and photo editor for National Geographic Kids magazine.
