Magnum Photos, founded in 1947 by Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Capa, is a co-operative of nearly sixty photographers. Having worked for nearly every major publication in the world for the past half century, they are particularly well known for their seminal photo essays, including "Vietnam Inc." by Phillip Jones in the sixties and "Gypsies" by Josef Koudelka in the seventies. David Halberstam is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and acclaimed author of numerous novels including War in a Time of Peace, The Best and the Brightest, and The Fifties.
