Kevin L. Backer is the gay author of The Preacher's Son, his successful first novel. Having grown up in Louisiana, this novel came about as he watched in horror the devastation Hurricane Katrina caused in New Orleans. Kevin lives in North Texas with his lifelong partner and their pets.
