About the Author

Nowhere to Turn is Jorrell Mirabal's first published novel. It is the first book in the Ryan Turner series. Jorrell Otoño Mirabal is eighteen and a senior at Magdalena High School. He lives on a cattle ranch outside the village of Magdalena, New Mexico. Jorrell is the eldest of six siblings. He is a passionate athlete, who has competed in basketball, football, rodeo, and track and field. He aspires to become a doctor, but has never given up his dream of being an author. He loves a good mystery, and loves suspense, crime, and action-fiction stories. He loves stories that keep him guessing. His advice to writers young and old is to never give up on your dreams. Never let anyone tell you that you can't do something.
