Christmas shopping is FAR more fun with Oliver Elephant . . . until he goes missing!
Lou Peacock (Author)
Lou Peacock is lucky enough to have one of the best jobs in the
world: 'Publishing Director of Picture Books' at Nosy Crow. She has
a degree in English Literature from Oxford University, and over
twenty years' experience in children's publishing. She started her
editorial career working on novelty books, but has focussed on
picture books and poetry for the last 15 years. She often puts her
author hat on to write picture books for Nosy Crow and has a
notebook full of scribbled ideas.
Helen Stephens (Illustrator)
Helen Stephens gets very cold sitting at her desk, but she is a
trooper and still makes lots of lovely books. She is best known for
her How to Hide a Lion series, which includes How to Hide a Lion,
the much more specific How to Hide a Lion from Grandma and the very
useful How to Hide a Lion at School. How to Hide a Lion was adapted
for stage by the Polka Theatre, where they make lots of amazing
children's theatre including We're going on a Bear Hunt. Helen has
illustrated stories for some of her favourite authors, including
Roger McGough, Michael Morpurgo, Sophie Hannah, Holly Webb and
Cecile Aubry. She lives on the windy Northumberland coast with her
partner and fellow illustrator Gerry Turley, her daughter and her
(very smelly) scruffy mutt Peggy.
