Awesome Values in Famous Lives series. Despite the awkward title of this series, these biographies are clear and feature plenty of photos. Each one gives the story of the subject's life (including difficult times or situations), with an emphasis on the good works they have done--e.g., Oprah's charity work and Carter's work for peace.
