Some people go through their lives wondering why they even think about Faith. While others feel it's SO essential, but they aren't even sure if they have the right amount of Faith. What does it mean to be Faithful and really-really mean it? In fact, what does Faith really look like, feel like, and smell like? Most importantly, how can we bring ourselves to the level of Faith that is comfortable within our personal belief? Heidi Hollis explores these same questions as an observer and life experiencer in the quest for what once seemed to be elusive--"Faith!" Hollis confronts the obvious in looking at the topic of Faith and what it is and means to her as this ultimate "knowing" in the one thing we are all supposedly to have no questions or doubts about--God. Hollis explores where this ultimate knowing in Faith may live and where we observe it through the use of fun imagery in her writing brought to life in her lively comics. Faith sometimes looks like the preachy man sitting at the bus stop telling you about his religion or the solemn lady who tends to her garden and wishes you well with utter contentment, every time you pass by her yard. There's something both of these individuals has that seems so confident in a Faith of some sort, but how did they come to this conclusion in how they present themselves and their Faith to the world? Hollis finds that Faith can take on a lot of different faces or angles, and imparts beauty and confusion to the onlooker at times. Being an honest perspective writer, Hollis confronts the various faces of Faith head-on as she's observed them and gives them names as their prospective Faith element appears as (i.e. Faith Fling, Faith Frump, Faith Funk). Delving further, moments of when Faith matters most whether at selfish times or important times, Hollis details why we may take Faith on for the moment or drop it as we see fit. Faith imparts various undertakings and odd paths, but in conclusion Hollis finds most people do feel they need Faith in their lives. What can be done to achieve this ultimate and very personal prize is the second half of the challenge in this book. Hollis encompasses the various paths to Faith as the journey that needs to be taken and done, but in the pattern that is as individual as every human being is. Hollis is also certain to point out that Faith Finding can be fun and colorful. Drawing from personal experience and struggles, Hollis incorporates more of her observations into helpful hints and tips in gaining Faith. Intriguing names and vibrant comics for these steps to Faith are invoked to spark and awaken readers to the awareness of what's happening in their own Faith lives and why we do or don't do certain things when it comes to Faith. Making Faith as an element needing tending to so it will grow, or taking it on as a fun learning experience, Hollis encourages the readers to take action with their Faith as an almost-all out war, but with the battle line drawn through their own heart of intention with a proud smile strewn across their face!
