About the Author

Mary Ellen Goldberg, BS, LVT, CVT, SRA, CCRA, is aninstructor of Anesthesia and Pain Management at VetMedTeam, LLC. She is on the Board of Directors and Executive Secretary ofthe International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management and acharter technician member of the American Association ofRehabilitation Veterinarians. Nancy Shaffran, CVT, VTS (ECC), is an internationalprofessional veterinary educator with an extensive background incritical care and pain management. She is a charter member and pastpresident of the Academy of Veterinary Emergency and Critical CareTechnicians and is president elect of the International Academy ofVeterinary Pain Management.
