Pip Vaughan-Hughes is an incredibly exciting talent in historical fiction. His first novel, RELICS, sold over 50,000 copies in paperback alone. THE VAULT OF BONES is set to exceed that - it was No.1 on the Heatseekers Chart and has reprinted five times so far. Pip gets better and better with every novel. He is now dealing with hugs themes on an epic scale. Historical fiction has never been more popular and this is one of the most-read periods. There is an endless fascination with the secrets of medieval Europe and particularly with relation to the Cathars. The Shroud of Turin is one of history's greatest mysteries... Pip has received terrific reviews: 'A monk, a corpse, a sinister Templar and a terrific adventure. A great read!' Bernard Cornwell. 'An impressive debut, with vivid period atmosphere, colourful personalities and stirring action' Sunday Telegraph.
Pip grew up in South Devon. He studied medieval history at London University and later worked as a reader for a literary agency when he wasn't dabbling as a bike messenger, saxophonist, food critic, gardener and restaurant owner. He now lives in Vermont with his wife and children.
