Dr. Garry McGiboney is a nationally recognized expert on school leadership, school crisis management, and crisis planning and response. He has made hundreds of presentations across the United States and is often a keynote speaker at state and national conferences. He has published over 30 professional articles and is the author of six books. Dr. McGiboney has appeared on CNN, A&E, Discovery Channel, Public Broadcasting Service, National Public Radio, Nickelodeon Network and many local and regional television and radio programs. He has been quoted in Time magazine, Education Week, USA Today, and many others, including the international press. Dr. McGiboney is the recipient of numerous awards, such as the NAACP Educator of the Year, National Association of School Psychologists Friend of Children Award, and many others. He was recently inducted into the University System of Georgia Hall of Fame for his career-long services to children. He has a Ph.D. from Georgia State University in psychology and administration.
