Jillian Sullivan has published novels, collections of stories, a book on mythology and one on writing, Fishing from the Boat Ramp: A guide to creating. Her awards include the Highlights Fiction Award in the United States, and the Kathleen Grattan Prize for the sequence of poems on which this book is based. Jillian, who is a grandmother and builder, lives in the Ida Valley in Central Otago. This is her first collection of poems.
