Reviews

"the social history of the Peak District is skilfully evoked by the stories of the pubs themselves... Andrew McCloy puts forward a good case for a leisurely tour of the Peak District taking in the abundance of interesting and unspoilt pubs, not to mention the growth of the micro pub and brewing scene... an affectionate and most satisfying book" Pub History, The Journal of the Pub History Society
