About the Author

Dr. James E. Hanson is Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Seton Hall University. Dr. Hanson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Christian University in Chemistry and Geology, and a Doctorate in Organic Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology. He worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and AT&T Bell Laboratories before taking his current position at Seton Hall.
