Jennifer Storm's Picking Up the Pieces Without Picking Up is a
highly informative and insightful book for anyone who has been
victimized and/or is struggling with addiction. I especially
appreciated the fact that she spoke directly to those who have been
sexually assaulted and tend to blame themselves for what happened
to them. Her voice is one of consolation and strength to those who
need it the most.
This book spoke to me in a unique way as I am currently in prison
for taking two innocent lives in a horrific drunk driving accident
8 years ago. Although I've certainly tried to empathize with my
victims' family members, I believe this book forced me to fully
grasp the magnitude of the impact of my crime on the surviving
family members. This book is a must read for both victims and
offenders of crime.
