Gr 6-9-This trilogy concludes as Jolly, Griffin, Munk, and other pirate friends battle one last time to save their lives and world from the evil Maelstrom. As Jolly and Munk make their way underwater to find the center of it, they find strange allies along the way and meet another mysterious polliwog named Aina. Meanwhile, Princess Soledad almost dies but is saved by a serpent goddess. Jolly's love interest, Griffin, leaves the belly of Jasconius (a huge whale) to fight the king of the kobalins. Meyer has done a great job of creating a cast of intriguing and interesting people, creatures, and environment in these action-packed adventures.
