Sorita d'Este is an author, researcher and publisher who manifests her knowledge and passion for the Mysteries through her work. Her research and writing pushes at the boundaries of Western Esoterica and beyond, often questioning and challenging the status quo and inspiring others towards experiential mysticism with firm foundations built on lessons learned from history, standing positively in today and looking with enthusiasm towards the future. She passionately believes that it is possible to manifest creativity, positivity, love and enchantment through the creation of independent, free-thinking and more spiritual communities, with firm foundations in truth, natural balance and generosity. She is the author of more than 20 published books, including Hekate Liminal Rites, Artemis Virgin Goddess of the Sun and Moon, Visions of the Cailleach and The Isles of the Many Gods. She has also edited 6 anthologies, including Hekate Her Sacred Fires, Priestesses Pythonesses and Sybils and Horns of Power. Her work has also been published in numerous books, magazines, journals and part-works. When she is not writing herself, nor walking the liminal boundaries in the gaps between civilisation and the wilderness, she works as a publisher, bringing the work of others into print. David Rankine is an author, magician, esoteric researcher and scholar whose work explores the development of the Western magical traditions through the ages. He has been writing and contributing articles to a variety of publications on the subjects close to his heart since the early 1980s. David actively promotes the propagation of rare texts and source documents, and is a member of both Societas Magica and ESSWE (European Society for the Study of Western Esotericism). David has contributed numerous articles to esoteric publications such as The Watkins Review, Skoob Occult Review, Nuit-Isis, Celtic Dawn, Chaos International, Witchcraft & Wicca, Pagan Dawn, Talking Stick. His contributions to this very successful worldwide publication included articles and entire sections on Crystals, Healing, Chakras, Qabalah, Shamanism, Ancient Egyptian Magick, Alchemy and Angels. Since the early 1980s David has facilitated hundreds of workshops, lectures, and presentations throughout the UK and Europe, concentrating on the subjects he is passionate about - including the Grimoire Tradition, Qabalah, Angelic Magic, Egyptian and Celtic Mythology and spirituality. David has appeared on many television and radio programs over the years. His work and interviews with him have featured in numerous publications including The Guardian, The Sunday Times, TIME OUT, Alternative London and many others. "This is truly an outstanding book that explores the theoreia and praxis of elemental magic in the Western Occult Tradition. From Empedocles, Iamblichus, Ancient Greek magic and religion, Paracelsus, the Qabalah, the Grimoire Tradition and more contemporary sources, David and Sorita have conjured a gem of occult literature that will take beginner and adept alike on a enchanting journey of exploring the ideas and manifestations of magic inherent within the elements. Well-researched, concise, consistent and practical transcending all forms of occult dogmatism, this book should be on the bookshelf of every aspiring magos or occult scholar." Damon Zacharias Lycourinos, Author, Scholar and Amazon Reviewer" No, this is NOT a spell book for would be teenage witches. Instead it's a well researched and well written guide to the ancient views and uses of the four elements and their impact on belief and practice then and now. I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to learn classical wisdom that affects our lives today." L. Shugerman, Amazon Reviewer"Although the use of elements is the foundation of magickal practice, this book is genuinely the first of its kind. There are many books on the elements, rituals, creatures, etc.; However, while I find the majority of those books to be very polite and tiptoeing around the elemental beings- this book teaches the practitioner to truly connect with those forces and beings and how to control their power for the magickal intent. To the authors' credit Practical Elemental Magick is non-dogmatic and, therefore, is extremely useful for a variety of Occult traditions- from novice to the advanced magician." Indigo Astrea, WitchTalk Radio / Amazon Reviewer"Practical Elemental Magick is an essential book for magick practitioners. It's full of useful information, meditations and exercises for both, beginners and advance practitioners. Definitely, a MUST HAVE." Carolina HL, Amazon Reviewer
