Chris Hale is a partner in Travers Smith and head of the firm's corporate department. For the last 15 years he has specialised in UK and international buy-out work, acting for both institutional investors and management teams on investments and divestments, as well as private equity-backed companies on mergers and acquisitions and other corporate matters. He is rated in the various legal directories, such as Chambers Global and the Legal 500, as among the world's leading lawyers in private equity and is a regular contributor to legal journals, being on the editorial boards of The Company Lawyer and Amicus Curiae.
