About the Author

Mike Gonzalez is a senior lecturer in Hispanic Studies at Glasgow University. He has written widely on Latin American politics, literature and culture and is a regular broadcaster. Mike Gonzalez is the author numerous books and articles including Che Guevara and the Cuban Revolution (Bookmarks), The Gathering of Voices: The Twentieth-Century Poetry of Latin America (Verso) and Modern Languages: Learning and Teaching in an Intercultural Field (Sage).
