Canada's sharpest satirical commentator brings down the curtain on our most-watched comedy show.
RICK MERCER, Canada's sharpest and funniest political satirist, is from St. John's, Newfoundland. He first came to fame with Show Me the Button- I'll Push It, or Charles Lynch Must Die, a one-man show that toured across Canada. He co-created and was a resident performer on CBC's This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and became the host of Rick Mercer Report (or Rick Mercer's Monday Report, as it was at the time) in 2004. In 2017, Rick announced that the current season of the CBC's highest-rated comedy show would be its last.
