Roger Brese is a correctional officer on the HBO drama Oz, played by Ray Iannicelli. He is the main CO at the entrance gate and has a major alcohol problem. When a reporter named Lemuel Idzik smuggles a gun in and kills inmate Kareem Said, Warden Leo Glynn discovers that Brese was drunk while on watch and fires him immediately. He was one of the older COs at Oz, as he worked with Leo Glynn (when he was an Officer) and Samuel Hughes (Clayton Hughes's father). Oz is an American television drama series created by Tom Fontana, who also wrote or co-wrote all of the series' 56 episodes (and received the actual OZ tattoo that was filmed for the credits).
