He is currently a graphic designer and editor for various advertising publications. Alain's main hobby is sailing. He's owned several boats since the 1970s and has crossed the Atlantic Ocean twice. Reviews

"Alain Greé's illustrations are as beautiful as ever - having a delightful vintage feel to them that I find utterly entrancing. The book works brilliantly for children who are logical thinkers, or who maybe need a little bit of encouragement to think about things a bit more in terms of how things work and don't work. It's almost a first engineering text book in disguise!"--Being Mrs C "http: //beingmrsc.com"

"Alain Gree uses his beautifully nostalgic feeling and hilariously funny illustrations to bring the text to life. This book covers scientific ideas in a brilliantly entertaining way. A great starting point for developing scientific thinking and reasoning as well as developing an understanding of risk taking."--Magpie That "https: //magpiethat.com/"

"Fans of Alan Greé and his charming vintage style rejoice! This Spring these two lovely books featuring Romeo the dog are hitting shelves. One is for young toddlers and is all about city life while the other appeals to a slightly older audience and is all about being inventive and never giving up. Both are completely bright and beautiful! Spring is looking good!"--book.nerd.mommy "Instagram, book.nerd.mommy, January 2018"

"Imaginative and full of fun, this is a lovely story."--Parents in Touch "http: //parentsintouch.co.uk/"

"It teaches children about engineering, problem-solving and persistence whilst they are laughing at his unsuccessful attempts. As well as reading the delightful story, there are lots of opportunities to discuss Romeo's ideas and what he could have done better."--The Ladybirds' Adventures "http: //theladybirdsadventures.co.uk/"

"The adorable ending makes us cheer for Romeo's open-minded ideas and brings up fun discussion with children about problem-solving."--Midwest Book Review: Children's Bookwatc "Midwest Book Review: Children's Bookwatch, April 2018"

"There are so many lovely pictures to look and conversation starters on each page.."--Let Them Be Small "http: //letthembesmall.com"
