R.A.D. Ford was a Canadian Ambassador to the U.S.S.R. During his years in Moscow, he became one of the most admired diplomats because of he knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Russian culture and literature. He is also an acclaimed poet and winner of the prestigious Governor General's Award for Poetry.
