The idea of sailing around the world fascinates even the landlubbers among us. Elisabetta Eordegh and Carlo Auriemma have actually lived this dream for more than 20 years, journeying from the Polynesian islands to the Panama Canal. Here, through breathtaking images, they share their 80 most memorable destinations, from Bali and Borneo to Dubrovnik, Venice, and Quelelevu--an atoll with just one inhabitant.
About the Author
Elisabetta Eordegh and Carlo Auriemma have been voyaging round the world by sailboat since 1988. After a first three-year-long circumnavigation, they fitted out their vessel, Barca Pulita (Clean Boat), an ecological and eco-friendly boat, and began exploring the oceans in search of the world's last pristine corners. They also founded the Barca Pulita Association, whose members aim to document and protect these imperiled regions. Over the years Elisabetta Eordegh and Carlo Auriemma have published several books, and they have also produced a series of TV documentaries on the world's more-remote and less-known natural and anthropological areas.
