"This book is the perfect companion for those who like to keep the company of those who have gone before us. Father McCloskey offers hope to anyone who thinks that sainthood is an impossible quest. He says in his Introduction ( referring to a comment of Bl. John XIII): "Someone becomes a saint not by being a 'dry, bloodless reproduction of a individual becomes a saint by cooperating generously with God's grace according to that person's' individual capacities and particular circumstances." Each day of the year brings us another example of very human people becoming more than they could have imagined through the grace of God. Saint of the Day teaches us that each of us has the makings of a saint."--Jeanne Hunt, author, Celebrating Saints and Seasons
