Say It Now is a book that can be promoted at so many different
points in the year. Valentine’s Day (“Create a meaningful gift for
your sweetheart.”) Mother’s Day (“Use tips from this book to show
Mom how much you love her.”) Father’s Day (“Instead of a boring
tie, give Dad something more meaningful.”) Thanksgiving. Winter
holidays. Na-tional Teacher’s Day. Practically every single day of
the year, there’s an opportunity to promote this book!
Say It Now is a book with bulk-sale potential—corporate gifts, gift
bags at events, etc. Sherry has negotiated these kinds of deals
before. Southwest Airlines purchased Sherry’s previous book (which
she self-published) to be used as employee “thank you” gifts.
Say It Now includes 20 QR codes sprinkled throughout the book. Scan
the code with your phone and then you can listen to a special audio
track or watch a bonus tutorial video and see Sherry guiding you
through the project, step by step. All of these bonus materials are
FREE. A fun, interactive touch! (See page 10-11 of this document
for an example of how this works. Sherry made a special QR code and
video message especially for Mango!:)
Many books in the crafting / hobbies / DIY category are geared
towards somewhat “experienced” artists—people who have a sewing
machine and watercolor paints in their closet at home, for
instance. Say It Now is a book for someone with zero artistic
skills. No special skills or supplies are required. Sherry’s tips
are simple, realistic, and non-intimidating.
Lastly, one cool tidbit—Sherry wrote a piece for the Modern Love
column (New York Times) about her experiences as a divorced mom and
how she celebrates life and love every day. Her piece will be
published in early 2019—awesome exposure for Sherry’s company and
for this book!
