About the Author

Hans Hollein was born 1934 in Vienna. He was an famous architect and designer, sculptor, object artist, exhibition designer and architectural theorist. He studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts under Clemens Holzmeister. From 1967 to 1976 Hollein taught at the Dusseldorf Art Academy, and lead a master class in Industrial Design at the Vienna University of Applied Arts. He taught as a visiting professor at Yale University in New Haven, at the University of California in Los Angeles and at the Ohio State University in Columbus. He died in April 2014.
