About the Author

H. Joseph Reynolds is a retired Seventh-day Adventist pastor, having served for 47 years. Reynolds has authored three previous books on family and church history and has traveled many miles for his research. Born and raised in New Mexico, Reynolds is proud of his heritage as a second-generation New Mexican. His innate passion for church history began when he was a small boy, listening to his grandmother's stories about when she was his age and heard Ellen White speak. Reynolds is a graduate of Sandia View Academy, Southwestern Adventist University, Union College, and Andrews University. He now lives with his wife, Nancy, in Saratoga, CA.
