About the Author

Naomi Kathryn Lu is a Chinese American writer. Raised overseas, her re-entry into American life catapulted her along a path that would eventually result in debilitating mental illness and anguish. After graduating from her high school at the top of her class, she only attended UCLA for two quarters before her mental illness and suicidal ideation became so strong that she had to leave in order to battle her disease. Though Lu is still actively struggling with mental illness, she strives to use her story to raise awareness and advocate for others with mental illness.
