My book 'A Sort of Conscience, The Wakefields' won three major awards in 2003: Biography section of the Montana NZ Book Awards; the Ian Wards Prize of the Archives and Research Association of NZ and, most prestigious of all, the Ernest Scott History Prize from the University of Melbourne. No other NZ biography or history has won all three. No longer available in hardback.
