About the Author

Tessa Duder is one of New Zealand's best-known and most prolific writers, as well as a keen sailor. Her award-winning children's novels are published internationally, while her two nautical anthologies have been best-sellers. Tessa leads the editorial team of the Spirit of Adventure Trust's magazine The Spirit, and has been a volunteer since 1977 and a Trustee since 1993. Kate Thompson has degrees in law, arts and commerce, and is an experienced project manager on major corporate projects. She has been a co-editor of The Spirit since 2000.
