About the Author

Edward S. Mitchell earned an MA in Comparative Literature from the University of California, San Diego. His PhD in Linguistics is from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. Publications include articles in the fields of literature and sociolinguistics. His interests within linguistics are sociolinguistics, creolistics, second language acquisition, and phonology. Edward S. Mitchell lives in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
