About the Author

Lucia Raatma received her bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of South Carolina and her master's degree in cinema studies from New York University. She has written a wide range of books for young people. She lives with her family in Florida.

K-Gr 2-.These books do a wonderful job of discussing in developmentally appropriate ways issues pertinent to young children. Chapter spreads include a full-page, full-color photograph and a few sentences in large type. Throughout the series, the major emphasis is on the importance of trusted adults.
