Thomas S. Kuhn was the Laurence Rockefeller Professor
Emeritus of linguistics and philosophy at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology. His books include The Essential Tension;
Black-Body Theory and the Quantum Discontinuity, 1894-1912; and The
Copernican Revolution.
