Sue Rawlinson is a well-known crochet designer. After leaving work as an Associate Director in the NHS and falling in love with crochet, Sue set up her own crochet business, teaching one-to-one lessons and running workshops. She also ran a weekly crochet club which was bursting at the seams – she couldn’t fit any more members around her table!
Sue now concentrates on designing and pattern writing, collaborating with numerous magazines and yarn suppliers. She is an ambassador and designer for Love Crochet; and has designed and written three Crochet Alongs for Woman’s Weekly, plus several blanket patterns for The Knitting Network.
Crochet has given Sue a new lease of life and allowed her to pursue a simpler, more creative pathway. She lives in Stockport, UK. To see more of Sue's work, visit her Instagram @sweetpeafamilycrochet
A treasure trove of adorable gift projects inspired by the pieces
the author crocheted for her own three daughters, this is a
beautiful collection of contemporary baby patterns. You'll find a
range of blanket designs along with small toys, nursery décor and
accessories that can be made individually or combined to create a
bundle of coordinated gifts. Quick-hook accessories include baby
bobble hats, bootees and mittens, while the cute first toys will be
hard to resist!
*Inside Crochet, Issue 155*
For anyone who loves crocheting for babies this book is a must buy
and is guaranteed to quickly become your 'go to' book. Beautifully
photographed with easy to follow instructions throughout. There are
25 projects, and each is grouped into one of six 'baby bundles',
although every individual project also makes a standalone gift.
Each bundle includes a blanket with two additional complimentary
smaller projects. The pattern difficulty is clearly shown for each
pattern so there is something to suit every ability. The only
downside is deciding which project to make first!
