The highly popular self-help guide for adults inspired by the classic children’s series
Benjamin Hoff is an American writer, photographer, musician
and composer. He is the author of The Tao of Pooh and The Te of
Piglet, both of which explain the Chinese philosophy of Taoism
through the characters created by A.A. Milne.
A.A. Milne was born in London in 1882 and became a
successful playwright and poet. He based Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet
and friends on the real nursery toys of his son Christopher Robin
and published the first of their adventures in 1926. Since then,
Pooh has become a world-famous bear, and Milne’s stories have been
translated into sixty-two languages.
E.H. Shepard was born in London in 1879. He was a cartoonist
and illustrator and went on to draw the original illustrations to
accompany Milne’s classic stories, earning him the name ‘the man
who drew Pooh’.
‘Winnie-the-Pooh has always been a very special (albeit funny old) bear, not least of all because his books are filled with wonderful words of wisdom.', Stylist magazine "Aspects of Taoism told through the characters of 'Winnie the Pooh' – I mean, does it get better?” Meghan Markle ‘Mr. Hoff gives grown-ups permission to rediscover Winnie the Pooh’ New York Times
