About the Author

Bettye was ten years old when publishing her first piece in the LaMora Park Gazette in Battle Creek, Michigan, where she grew up. Upon seeing her story, her passion of writing for publication was fueled. For more than forty years, the divorced mother of two has written for numerous publications including: The Metroplex News, Capital Chronicle, and the Michigan Bulletin. Currently, she is the associate editor for the Chronicle News, based in Lansing, Michigan. Bettye lives in Atlanta, Georgia
