for Undergraduate Studies, at the University of the West Indies,

Victor C. Simpson is Senior Lecturer in Spanish
Literature, Department of Language, Linguistics and Literature, and
Deputy Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Education, at the University
of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados. His publications include
Afro-Puerto Ricans in the Short Story: An Anthology and Colonialism
and Narrative in Puerto Rico: A Study of Characterization in the
