About the Author

Peter Henshaw has been an enthusiast for anything with wheels since he was a child – everything from bicycles to 500hp tractors. He was Editor of Motorcycle Sport & Leisure for five years before going freelance, and now contributes to a whole raft of transport magazines and websites, including The Vintagent (motorcycles), A to B (cycling) and Tractor (as it says …) as well as editing Vintage & Classic Motorcycle. But this petrolhead is becoming increasingly green – now doesn't fly, doesn't own a car, rides the most economical motorcycle on the market, and for local journeys uses a bicycle or pedelec.

Reviews

It is packed with all sorts of details, including annual prices ... For the real enthusiast, there are even tips on buying secondhand Bonnevilles. Daily Express/Sunday Express With over 40 books to his credit Henshaw has perfected his writing style so the information comes across in an easy style that makes the book a generally good read as well as being a very useful reference book for existing as well as potential owners alike ... So, no matter what category you fall into, owner, potential owner, or just somebody interested in well-researched motorcycle history written without bias, then this a book well worth having on the bookshelf and easily well worth the GBP35.00 cover price. Inter-bike.co.uk With meticulous detail and many beautifully produced photos and period adverts, the author has created an intimate account of the development, the idiosyncracies and the ups and downs of life with a pre-Hinckley Bonnnie. If you love your Bonnie, you'll love this book. Triumph Times
