Chef Tyler Florence is a champion for food that comes from the 'real kitchen'. Following his graduation in 1991 from the College of Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University, Tyler honed his skills under the tutelage of some of New York's finestchefs, including Charlie Palmer at Aureole and Rick Laakonenat River Cafe. He became executive chef at Ciboin 1995, and in 1998 opened the acclaimed Cafeteria in Manhattan. Tyler made his TV debut in 1996 with guest appearances on Food Network in the US and launched Food 911 in 1999. He has hosted several Food Network programs, among them Tyler's Ultimate, Planet Foodand My Country, My Kitchen. His previous books include Tyler Florence's Real Kitchen.
